Why do we need water?
Water is essential to the human body, just like oxygen. If forced, you can survive several weeks without food, but no more than a few days without water.
Water is a perfect thirst-quencher, it hydrates your body and keeps your fluid balance at the proper level. The purifying effect of water has a proven impact on your health and your general wellbeing. Health complaints, such as fatigue, headaches, digestive problems, joint aches and back complaints are relieved or remedied.
In short, if you want to be in top condition, you need enough water!
How much water should you drink a day?
Water is one of the most essential nutritional products: adults need 1.5 to 2 litres of water a day. The majority of that must be drunk, with the remainder being extracted from food.
Drinking enough liquid to keep your fluid balance at a proper level is not a superfluous luxury, but rather a matter of life or death.
Not all water is good for you
'Water', it sounds so familiar and obvious that it's rare to think of it in conscious terms, and one instead chooses drinking water in an offhand manner.
